MCA | My Care Aide (“MCA”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and integrity across our platform. These Caregiver Standards outline the expectations and requirements for all caregivers who join MCA.
1. Professional Conduct
Caregivers must conduct themselves in a respectful, responsible, and professional manner at all times. This includes:
- Communicating clearly and politely
- Arriving on time for scheduled care
- Maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Providing care in a safe and respectful environment
- Treating families and clients with dignity and compassion
2. Verification Requirements
All caregivers must complete MCA’s verification process before their profile becomes active. This may include:
- Identity Verification Submission of valid government‑issued ID.
- Criminal Record Check (CRC) A current criminal record check to support platform safety.
- Certification Review Proof of relevant training, education, or professional credentials when applicable.
Caregivers are responsible for keeping their documents up‑to‑date.
3. Accurate Profile Information
Caregivers must ensure that all information on their profile is truthful and current, including:
- Skills and experience
- Certifications
- Availability
- Service areas
- Rates
- Contact information
Misleading or false information may result in account removal.
4. Service Quality
Caregivers agree to provide care services to the best of their ability. This includes:
- Following care plans or instructions provided by families
- Maintaining a safe environment
- Respecting client preferences
- Reporting concerns or changes in client condition when appropriate
5. Reliability and Communication
Caregivers must:
- Respond to messages in a timely manner
- Notify families promptly of schedule changes
- Communicate clearly about availability
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions
6. Safety Expectations
Caregivers must:
- Follow safe care practices
- Respect client privacy
- Maintain confidentiality
- Avoid unsafe or inappropriate behavior
- Report any safety concerns to MCA
7. Independent Contractor Status
Caregivers on MCA operate independently. They are not employees of MCA. Caregivers are responsible for:
- Their own schedules
- Their own rates
- Their own transportation
- Their own conduct
- Their own service delivery
Families and caregivers must discuss expectations directly before booking services.
8. Account Removal
MCA may suspend or remove caregiver accounts for:
- Unsafe behavior
- Misconduct
- Fraudulent information
- Violations of MCA policies
- Failure to meet caregiver standards
Our priority is maintaining a safe and trustworthy platform for families.
9. Updates to These Standards
MCA may update these Caregiver Standards as needed. The “Effective Date” will reflect the most recent revision.
