MCA | My Care Aide (“MCA”, “we”, “our”, “us”) provides a subscription‑based platform that connects families with independent caregivers. This Refund Policy explains how payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled.

1. Subscription Fees Are Non‑Refundable

All subscription fees paid to access the MCA platform are non‑refundable. Once a subscription is purchased, users receive immediate access to platform features, caregiver profiles, and connection tools. Because access is granted instantly, MCA cannot offer refunds for unused time, early cancellation, or change of circumstances.

2. Connection Fees Are Non‑Refundable

Connection fees paid to contact or book a caregiver are non‑refundable, even if:

  • a caregiver does not respond,
  • a family decides not to proceed,
  • a booking is cancelled, or
  • circumstances change after the connection is made.

Connection fees cover platform access, verification processes, and administrative support.

3. Caregiver Service Payments

Payments made directly to caregivers for services are not handled by MCA. MCA is not responsible for:

  • caregiver rates,
  • cancellations,
  • missed appointments,
  • disputes, or
  • refunds related to care services.

Families and caregivers must resolve service‑related payment issues directly with one another.

4. Billing Issues

If you believe a payment was processed in error (duplicate charge, incorrect amount, or technical issue), please contact us at support@mycareaide.ca. MCA will review the issue and determine whether a correction is required.

5. Account Cancellation

Users may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future billing but does not provide a refund for the current billing period. Access remains available until the subscription expires.

6. Changes to This Policy

MCA may update this Refund Policy at any time. The “Effective Date” will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after updates signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
