2. Are caregivers employees of MCA?
No. Caregivers on MCA operate independently. They set their own schedules, rates, and services. MCA provides the platform that helps families find and connect with them.
3. How are caregivers verified?
Caregivers complete identity verification, provide a valid criminal record check, and may submit certifications or training documents. MCA reviews these to support platform safety.
4. How do families contact a caregiver?
Families can browse caregiver profiles and use the platform’s connection tools to reach out. Once connected, families and caregivers communicate directly to discuss care needs, availability, and rates.
5. Does MCA guarantee caregiver availability?
No. Caregivers manage their own schedules. Families should confirm availability directly with the caregiver before booking services.
6. How do payments work?
Families pay caregivers directly for services. MCA does not handle service payments and is not involved in payment disputes. Subscription or connection fees paid to MCA are separate and non‑refundable.
7. What areas does MCA serve?
MCA serves all of British Columbia, including Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, the Interior, and Northern BC
8. Can caregivers update their profile information?
Yes. Caregivers can update their skills, availability, service areas, rates, and certifications at any time to keep their profile accurate.
9. What should I do if I have a safety concern?
If you experience unsafe behavior or misconduct, contact MCA immediately at support@mycareaide.ca. We will review the concern and take appropriate action.
10. How do I cancel my subscription?
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future billing but does not provide a refund for the current billing period.
